In July 2018, Ai You Foundation visited Nepal for a 5-days study trip with the invitation received from China Charity Alliance and China NGO Network for International Exchanges.
During the program, Ai You team visited the Chinese Embassy in Nepal and its Business Section, participated in the joint exchange activities organized by the China NGO Network for International Exchanges and the Nepal Social Welfare Committee, visited the Nepal Youth Foundation and visited their program sites, and visited the Chaudhury Foundation, as well as exchanged with other public welfare organizations in the same industry.
There are more than 4,000 local NGOs and about 270 overseas NGOs registered in Nepal. The delegation visited the Nepal Youth Foundation (hereinafter referred to as NYF), a foundation dedicated to providing services to underpriviledged children in Nepal.
According to President Som Paneru, NYF's mission is to provide hope and opportunities for underprivileged children in Nepal, providing them with the inherent rights of each child, important health care, education and a safe environment. Therefore, the goals set by the agency are: to increase the opportunities for Nepalese children to receive education; to improve the quality of education available in the country; to improve the health of children throughout Nepal; to help Nepalese youth to realize their potential; and to give girls in Nepal equal treatment and education. In recent years, NYF has been focusing on providing education support, health support, free advocacy, and child protection.
After the exchanges between the two foundations, it is believed that the three projects of NYF's nutrition center, children's village and vocational training have many similarities with the existing matrix of work for Ai You Foundation, of which could be discussed for collaboration in the near future.
